Northern California Car Accident Leads To Teen Wrongful Death

A 16-year-old boy was killed in a car accident in Union City, California on May 9, 2009.  The car accident occurred at about 10 p.m. and caused the wrongful death of the driver as well as the personal injury of his passenger.

An investigation at the scene of the car accident indicated that Juan Rodelas Jr. was speeding in a 1996 Corvette car when he lost control of the car causing the car crash.

Our car accident lawyers know nighttime driving can be hard enough with the decreased amount of objects you can see on the road, but speeding while driving at night can be almost impossible.

Officers arrived at the Blommer Chocolate factory near Pacific Street and attempted to extract Rodelas and his passenger after the car crash.  The passenger of the car was expected to survive, but the car accident caused Rodelas’ wrongful death.

Young drivers and older drivers should exercise the same amount of caution while behind the wheel.  There are many other drivers on the road, so when you are driving, travel at safe speeds and make sure you are traveling at safe distances of other cars.  One wrong move while speeding can cause a car crash that leads to wrongful death or permanent personal injuries.

Our car accident attorneys believe it is necessary for all drivers to use the maximum amount of caution while driving on the roads.  Safe driving can prevent car accidents that have the potential to cause personal injury and wrongful death.

There are many things a car driver can do to prevent a car accident, such as getting eye glasses, regular medical checkups, anger management counseling, to treatment for alcoholism (AAA).
