DUI Charge For ‘Heroes’ Actor Adrian Pasdar
Just because you play a doctor on television, does not mean you are one in real life. Same thing goes for if you are playing a lawyer, a NAVY seal, or say a superhero.
After refusing to take a breathalyzer, ‘Heroes’ star Adrian Pasdar was arrested in Hollywood for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol by Los Angeles police. Being a real life human and lacking the super powers of his TV character, Pasdar was taken to a local jail.
Our firm’s DUI accident attorneys have been wondering something. Are celebrities and those in the public eye are more prone to reckless driving and drunk-driving accidents? There seems to be a trend that cannot be ignored, and it needs to be stopped before any personal injury claims are filed against intoxicated celebrities.

Is it that they feel they have enough money to beat any charge of drunk-driving, even if it leads to a car accident? Pasdar, who’s also married to the Dixie Chick’s Natalie Maines, was released on $15,000 bail, an amount of money most of us don’t have. In fact, his bail went up in cost when he refused to take a breathalyzer. Since he and his wife have a obviously done well for themselves, does that entitle Pasdar to drink and drive?
Or, perhaps, it has something to do with a need for attention. Actors have a tendency to want the focus or the limelight on them, and often times they’ll do anything to make sure that they are given the public’s eye. Does this include putting lives at risk by driving drunk? We sure hope not.
Or is it something that just happens and we have come to expect it as a society that actors, singers, and performers will always behave in such a manner? Our DUI accident attorneys know that drunk-driving is 100% preventable so there is no excuse for a DUI arrest in our opinion.

YOUR TAKE
What do you think the correlation between celebrities and drunk-driving is? Do you think society lets stars off too easy for the laws they break (namely, drinking and driving)?
