Insurance Companies, the media (who thrive on “sensationalism” to get “ratings”), and Corporate America (such as tobacco companies) have spent millions to berate and belittle America’s 200 year old system for compensating injured people and those that carry the flag of justice, attorneys. What is different about America compared to the rest of the world? Many things. One important factor, in America, we value “people” over “property.” Please think hard and deeply about it.

So, who is legally able to go out and in some cases take a recorded statement or even a transcribed statement while a person is doped up on medication? You guessed it, an insurance company. And will someone else stand up for an injured person’s rights when an injured person is most vulnerable? Unless you have a good lawyer, probably nobody. (more…)

There is a great deal to know, but, it is our hope that this “Special Report” will help you to begin to understand how the process works.

1. Insurance companies, even your own, are out to save money by paying you as little as possible. Yes, it sounds crazy, people are hurt and then it is possible for the injured person to be treated unfairly by an insurance company, even their own. Why and how would they do this? They will probably want to take your recorded statement, ask you all kinds of personal questions such as your social security number (private, right?). Why? There are many reasons, mostly to pin your story down in the event things change and perhaps you were not thinking things through when you give/gave the recorded statement. Does the statement help you? Usually, “NO!” The insurance companies may try to use it against the injured person (for example, to show that somehow their story has changed implying you are lying). They may even try to discourage you from even hiring a lawyer and will not tell you what you are legally entitled to recover (such as pain and suffering, loss of work, and disfigurement). (more…)
